Recreational and Educational Value of Math Puzzles

This article was interesting because I enjoy puzzles and am not good at math at all.  I think the author is correct in saying that teaching math through a puzzles is motivational to a student.  Solving the puzzle is a great motivation tool.

  1. I also read this article and thought that having students solve puzzles actually takes their brain to a higher order of thinking which allows them to think of things "outside of the box". Using this tool can motivate students into looking at math in a totally different light. It also helps them to think abstractly which is a great technical lesson as well.
